Pembrokeshire is very popular with cyclists and there are numerous cycling trails that pass through or around Rhoscrowther, including Ironman Wales, Cycle Pembrokeshire Heritage Coast trail, the Long Course Weekend route and Sustrans routes. Ironman Wales is a world-renowned triathlon course that takes you around South Pembrokeshire and its stunning coastline. The cycle route is 180 Km / 112 miles long and passes through the Rhoscrowther area. Over 2400 competitors from 45 different countries take part in the race and thousands turn out to line the route to show their support and give encouragement.
The Long Course Weekend Wales cycle route also passes through Rhoscrowther. This event "attracts over 10,000 athletes, 35,000 supporters from 45 nations" over the 3 days of the event.
Cycle Pembrokeshire is a collection of 26 cycle routes. Number 20 is the Heritage Coast Trail and this takes you from Pembroke around the Angle Peninsula and passes through Rhoscrowther. The trail includes rugged cliffs, headlands, sandy bays and dune stacks. Part of the trail follows the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and it takes you through many heritage locations. It passes Cheveralton Valley in Rhoscrowther and goes past the viewpoints overlooking the landscape which inspired the famous poem Cofio, by Waldo Williams, who was a dedicated cyclist himself.
