The majority of the Rhoscrowther area lies within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which is the UK's only predominantly coastal National Park. It was designated in 1952 and celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022. The National Park has over 600 miles of footpaths and bridleways as well as the Pembrokeshire Coast path. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is also the Wales Coast path and these go through and around Rhoscrowther and Angle Bay at Kilpaison. The Wales Coast Path is 870 miles long and goes around the entire coast of Wales. 186 miles of this is the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and approximately 30 miles of this go around or through the Rhoscrowther area.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park also includes several islands which are world-renowned for their wildlife. Skomer Island and Skokholm Island are famous for their Puffin colonies and together they create the largest Puffin breeding colony in Southern Britain. Grassholm has one of the largest Gannet colonies in the world and Skomer Island is the largest home to migrating Manx Sheerwater in the world.
